Job summary

Wärtsilä Finland Oy Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub is seeking an On-call Trainee for Operative Purchasing in Vaasa. The position is a temporary role for about six months, with 0-25 hours per week, and requires you to be a full-time student studying for a degree in Finland.

You will assist in securing material availability and support inventory optimization. You will learn SAP, Power BI and Excel usage, forecast and plan orders, monitor supplier quality, and develop material master

Qualifications

• Studies and interest in Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain management.
• Good communication, teamwork and social skills.
• Systematic and proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with securing on-time material availability and optimize inventory levels.
• Forecasting, requirement and delivery planning, ordering and order monitoring for assigned components.
• Manage and measure supplier quality level.
• Maintain and develop material master data.
• Optimize the inventory turnover.
• Assist with other operative purchasing tasks.
