Job summary

Wärtsilä Energy Storage seeks a Purchaser, Project Procurement to join our growing Joint Venture in Finland. You will manage procurement for energy storage projects, coordinate with project teams, and ensure timely deliveries and invoicing.

Fluency in English and native-level Chinese are essential, with a background in commercial or technical studies (B.Sc./M.Sc.). Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset will help you thrive in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Fluency in written and spoken English and native-level Chinese are essential.
• Commercial or technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred; other ERPs are advantageous).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Systematic way of working with attention to detail.
• Experience in dynamic, complex project-based environments such as BESS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for assigned projects, including PO placements and order confirmations.
• Monitor deliveries and ensure materials and services are delivered on time.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers and build effective relationships.
• Coordinate with project teams to support timelines and requirements.
• Follow up on invoices and ensure timely processing.
• Identify supply chain risks to support on-time delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
