Job summary

If Insurance is seeking a skilled software developer to lead Next.js adoption within our Nordic digital services teams. You will mentor colleagues and drive best practices across Turku, Espoo, and Riga and Stockholm. You will contribute to modern web solutions for Nordic customers.

You will design services and APIs using Azure, C#, .NET, React, Next.js, and Razor, with test automation and CI as core; English fluency and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience in software development (mid or senior level).
• Deep knowledge of backend software development with C#/.NET
• Good understanding of REST API development (.NET)
• Front-end development experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Azure, Git environments, pull requests, and code reviews
• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS (tailwind)
• Experience with integration of third‑party services via API
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts and logic to non‑technical stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
• Problem‑solving and adaptability, including critical thinking and resourceful solution design
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with practices such as code reviews and pair programming
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, other AI assistants or agentic development is an advantage
• Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, or NoSQL
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver web services and APIs using Azure-hosted services
• Mentor team members and promote Next.js best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver Nordic customer experiences
• Contribute to frontend and backend development with React, Next.js, .NET technologies
• Support test automation and CI as part of daily workflow
