Job summary

The Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) at the University of Turku invites applications for seven TIES2 Fellowship positions (Senior Researcher) for three years from 1 September 2027. Fellows will conduct research across TIAS’ faculties, including Law, and must satisfy MSCA mobility rules.

The position includes a gross monthly salary of EUR 4,592, plus a mobility allowance of about EUR 80 and a family allowance of about EUR 80 per month for eligible Fellows.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree must be completed by 13 November 2026 (call deadline) with possible extensions for childbirth or military service.
• Discipline may be Economics, Education, Humanities, Law or Social Sciences; host unit is Faculty of Law or Business Law within Turku School of Economics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a three-year self-designed research project
• Complete a secondment outside higher education lasting 3–12 months
• Attend TIAS meetings and develop a Personal Career Development Plan
