ReOrbit is a Helsinki-based startup transforming satellites into software-defined, interconnected platforms. We seek a Support Engineer to ensure mission operations and ground segment systems run smoothly and reliably.

You will support routine operations, investigate first-line issues, and help keep procedures accurate while learning propulsion, planning, and data workflows in a fast-paced space-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Background in satellite operations or ground segment operations.
• Strong understanding of operational systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow and maintain procedures and documentation.
• Attention to detail with logs and configuration data.
• Good communication with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle time-critical operational activities calmly.
• Willingness to learn spacecraft operations and mission planning.
• Strong ownership mindset to track issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of mission operations and ground segment systems.
• Assist with routine checks of mission control and ground systems, telemetry processing, data flows, and support tools.
• Support spacecraft and ground segment operations during routine operations, tests, simulations, and readiness activities.
• Assist with data checks, planning inputs, validation activities, and routine coordination for planning products.
• Investigate first-line issues and escalate complex ones to senior engineers or vendors.
• Maintain and update operational procedures, guides, and troubleshooting material.
• Support training material preparation and onboarding for new team members.
• Participate in anomaly response, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Support maintenance windows, system updates, verification activities, and regression checks.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
