Job summary

Tekniq Oy is seeking experienced Electrical & Mechanical Engineers for challenging marine projects in Finland and worldwide. The role focuses on electrical or mechanical design review, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and ensuring high quality and safety across international projects.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams in demanding shipbuilding environments, travelling as required. Ideal candidates hold a B.Sc./M.Sc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of marine industry experience.
• Experience from shipyards, vessel construction, offshore, or marine commissioning.
• Strong expertise in electrical or mechanical systems, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
• Willingness to travel and work on international assignments.
• Fluent English and Finnish; German an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical or mechanical designs and propose improvements.
• Supervise onboard and site installation activities.
• Ensure correct installation of cabling systems and equipment.
• Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with standards and safety regulations.
• Lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system verification.
• Monitor progress and report status to project management.
• Participate in meetings and promote safety culture.
