Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Manager, AI to lead AI opportunity development and value realization across our Global Supply. You will identify high-impact AI use cases, develop strong business cases, and drive initiatives from concept to measurable outcomes.

The role requires cross-functional influence, governance alignment, and a hands-on approach to delivering business value. Fluent English is required, with additional languages considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AI or digital transformation initiatives from opportunity identification to implementation.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable AI use cases, business cases, and implementation roadmaps.
• Understanding of data governance, analytics, and AI adoption practices.
• Experience influencing and leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases to address strategic priorities.
• Develop business cases, value drivers, KPIs, and success criteria for AI initiatives.
• Lead AI initiatives from concept validation to business value realization.
• Track the business impact of deployed AI solutions, including productivity improvements, cost savings, quality improvements, and risk reduction.
• Promote alignment with enterprise architecture, security requirements, governance standards, and Responsible AI principles.
• Drive reuse of successful AI solutions and develop common methods, templates, and best practices.
• Provide coaching and training within context of AI
