Job summary

Finnair is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance Planning team. You will help ensure an airworthy fleet by communicating forecasts to operations and by scheduling defect repairs with MCC and OCC, while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires a degree or relevant experience, strong organization, and excellent communication. Fluency in English and Finnish is essential, with a willingness to learn and develop in a fast-changing aviation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring continuing airworthiness in Finnair fleet 24/7 as part of MCC responsibilities.
  • Scheduling defects and ad hoc works.
  • Creating scheduled maintenance plans and feasible maintenance slot schedules with OCC and Network Management.
  • Preparing line maintenance together with Production Planning.
  • Creating outstation maintenance plan.
  • Planning subcontracting work.

Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.

We are now looking for a Maintenance Planner

to be a part of the Maintenance Planning team and work in shifts. As Maintenance Planner, you will help ensure an airworthy fleet in rapidly changing situations by communicating the maintenance forecast to operations and by scheduling defect repairs together with the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and Operations Control Center (OCC) teams. As Maintenance Planner, you will be making feasible maintenance plan in close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as the Production Planning, Maintenance Control Center and Material Management.

Your other main responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring and ensuring continuing airworthiness in Finnair fleet 24/7 as part of MCC responsibilities.
  • Scheduling of defects and ad hoc works.
  • Creating scheduled maintenance plans and ensuring feasible maintenance slot schedules with other teams such as Operations Control Center and Network Management.
  • Preparing line maintenance together with Production Planning.
  • Creating outstation maintenance plan.
  • Planning subcontracting work.
We expect you to have:
  • A relevant degree or corresponding knowledge gained through work experience.
  • The ability to organize work and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • An exceptionally strong ability to work under pressure and react constructively in new situations and willingness to collaborate with other teams.
  • Good communication skills and excellent social skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish as well as excellent social skills.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and develop.

Experience in aircraft maintenance and knowledge of airline traffic operations will be considered as an advantage.
