Job summary

Stora Enso in Helsinki leads the transformation of our Operational Excellence system into practical daily routines across our mill network. You will roll out Shop Floor Management and daily management routines, coaching leaders and teams at the gemba to ensure sustained improvements.

You will build local capability, drive visual management and structured problem solving, and enable adoption of digital analytics and AI-enabled solutions to strengthen decisions and performance.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Operational Excellence and continuous improvement in industrial environments.
• Strong Lean expertise including daily management, visual management and structured problem-solving.
• University degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Fluent English and Finnish; Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement Shop Floor Management, daily management routines and KPI cycles at roll-out sites.
• Coach mill leaders, supervisors, operators, and change agents through observation and feedback.
• Build practical Lean and problem-solving capability via learning sessions, DOJO activities and project waves.
• Help teams use data, direct observation and structured methods (A3, PDCA, Kaizen, 8D) to solve problems.
• Support disciplined performance management by linking KPIs, ownership, actions and follow-up.
• Enable adoption of digital tools, analytics and AI solutions to improve work and decision-making.
• Assess maturity and readiness for future mill roll-outs.
