Job summary

Saab in Tampere is seeking a Lead Test Automation Developer to maintain and extend the Robot Framework adaptation for the 9LV CMS. You will guide and coach other test automation engineers, ensure high-quality test cases, and help shape the framework across Saab sites.

You will collaborate with the Technical Product Owner to keep the automation backlog healthy, contribute to dashboards and real-time reporting, and support a hybrid work setup with flexible hours at the Saab Sensor Technology

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• Experience developing and maintaining large-scale test automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of test automation architecture, reusable design patterns, and automation best practices.
• Experience with Ubuntu Linux, command-line tools, and scripting.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized test environments.
• Experience with Grafana or similar reporting and visualization platforms.
• Knowledge of dashboard design, test metrics, and real-time reporting.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Understanding of test strategy, quality engineering principles, and automation best practices.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop Robot Framework adaptation for Saab 9LV CMS in Finland.
• Lead, coach and educate other test automation engineers in developing and maintaining the framework adaptation.
• Educate and coach test engineers in writing high-quality, maintainable test cases and test suites.
• Enable test engineers to produce maintainable and understandable automated test cases for 9LV CMS.
• Occasionally contribute to test case development in new areas.
• Communicate and exchange ideas with test automation colleagues at other Saab sites.
• Participate in design and development of dashboards and utilities.
• Ensure the test automation backlog is well maintained with the Technical Product Owner.
