Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join its Industrial Data Analytics R&D team in Tampere or Vantaa. You will shape, automate, and scale the platform infrastructure powering analytics across cloud and on-prem environments.

You’ll work with development teams, system architects, and product owners to deliver advanced analytics for industrial customers, emphasizing reliable, self-service platforms and secure delivery practices.

Qualifications

Solid platform engineering and DevOps experience in modern software environments.
Hands-on with containerized apps and IaC, automation, and provisioning.
Experience with CI/CD, packaging, release automation, and distributed systems.
Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Guide platform engineering and contribute to technical direction with architects.
Hands-on platform implementation and problem solving.
Automate Dev/QA environments with IaC and repeatable processes.
Develop cloud and on-prem platforms spanning AWS/EKS and on-prem setups.
Build packaging bundles and robust delivery pipelines for distributed deployments.
Enable engineering teams to adopt and troubleshoot platform services.
Advance DevSecOps and supply chain security in pipelines.
