Job summary

Tampere University seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in High Voltage Engineering to lead world-class research, develop HV insulation and related areas, and head the high voltage laboratory at Tampere University. You will collaborate with industry partners and manage international projects, while teaching at multiple levels.

Fluency in English is required; Finnish is an advantage. Initial appointments range by rank with potential for tenure, and a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

• PhD in high voltage engineering or related electrical engineering field.
• Experience establishing and sustaining international and national research collaborations.
• Fluency in English; Finnish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the high voltage laboratory at Tampere University and oversee testing services.
• Pursue and supervise world-class research in high voltage engineering and related topics.
• Secure national and international research funding for your research group.
• Teach and supervise students at all levels.
