Job summary

Tampere University seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Electronics and Embedded Systems within the Electrical Engineering Unit of the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences. The appointee will build and lead the electronics and embedded systems research group and contribute to teaching and education.

You will collaborate with industry and international partners, pursue external funding, and shape a strong research profile.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands-on background in Electronics and Embedded Systems including CAD of circuits and systems.
• Ability to teach in Electronics and Embedded Systems (microcontroller hardware/software co-design).
• Good command of English and strong collaboration skills.
• Industrial collaboration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build the electronics and embedded systems research group.
• Provide teaching and supervision aligned with electronic and embedded systems activities.
• Collaborate with local, national, and international partners and industry.
• Seek and manage external funding for the research group.
• Demonstrate leadership and engage with external stakeholders.
