Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Lead Engineer (PME) to join our PME team in Västerås, Sweden, leading the design and delivery of complete substations for distribution and transmission grids.

You will guide the engineering work in customer projects, typically electric power installations from 10–400 kV, while coordinating with customers and partners to meet contracts and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in engineering, R&D or project management.
• Experience with Medium to High Voltage Projects in Power Systems.
• Site works experience is advantageous.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the project engineering team to deliver results per contractual agreements, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate engineering with customers, sub-suppliers and internal/external partners.
• Plan and manage engineering resources following Hitachi Energy governance procedures.
• Manage communications with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities, contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
