Job summary

1KOMMA5° Commercial Solutions GmbH in Vaasa, Finland, is seeking a Project Lead Engineer to spearhead the engineering team for customer substation projects. You will bridge technical delivery with coordination among customers, sub-suppliers and partners, ensuring quality, safety and schedule commitments for 10–400 kV installations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering, 3–5 years in engineering or project management, and fluent English;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years engineering, R&D or project-management experience.
• Experience with medium- to high-voltage power-system projects.
• Fluent English in written and spoken settings.
• Finnish and/or Swedish language skills are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project engineering team to meet contractual, quality, HSE, financial targets and schedules.
• Direct engineering for customer projects delivering complete substations for distribution and transmission grids.
• Support projects involving power installations in the 10–400 kV range.
• Coordinate engineering issues with customers, sub-suppliers and partners.
• Plan and manage engineering resources per Hitachi Energy governance procedures.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the project.
• Identify risks and opportunities affecting projects.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement work related to the engineering assignment.
