Job summary

iLOQ is seeking an experienced Backend Development Lead to guide a backend team in Oulu. You will stay hands-on while steering secure, scalable services that power iLOQ 5 Series+. You’ll influence architectural choices and drive end-to-end delivery in a cloud, AI-enabled environment.

You’ll lead day-to-day development, translate product priorities into actionable plans, and nurture a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement within a fast-growing international company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading backend software teams.
• Hands-on in design and delivery of backend services.
• Strong skills in C# and .NET ecosystems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of microservice architectures and APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, IaC and test automation.
• Ability to balance technical and business needs and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the backend development activities of the team.
• Turn product priorities into technical plans and predictable delivery.
• Participate hands-on in design and implementation of backend services and APIs.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure quality and maintainability.
• Promote end-to-end ownership including testing, releasing, monitoring.
• Develop engineering practices for code quality, reviews and observability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Test Leads, and cloud specialists.
• Identify risks and blockers and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Coach team members and foster learning and responsibility.
