iLOQ in Oulu is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain the secure, scalable backend services at the core of iLOQ 5 Series+. You will join a cross-functional team and own services end-to-end from design to deployment.

The role requires several years of backend experience, strong C#/.NET skills, cloud exposure (AWS), and a focus on secure, maintainable systems with modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field.
• Several years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong skills in C# and .NET or comparable backend technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and microservice architectures.
• Experience with relational databases and data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of software security, maintainability and operational reliability.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and turn them into clear, sustainable solutions.
• Proactive and collaborative working style with strong communication, including professional English.

We are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Software organization in Oulu. You will design, develop and maintain the secure, reliable and scalable backend services at the core of iLOQ 5 Series+. This is a role for an experienced software professional who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership beyond writing code and wants to influence both technical solutions and the way software is developed.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work as part of a cross-functional software team and contribute throughout the software lifecycle.

You will:

• Design, develop, test and maintain reliable, scalable backend services and APIs for our cloud-based platform
• Take end-to-end ownership of services from design and implementation to release, monitoring and continuous improvement
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into practical technical solutions
• Explore and apply AI-assisted development tools in a secure and responsible way
• Review code and develop automated tests, supporting high standards for security, quality and maintainability, and contributing to efficient CI/CD practices
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues
• Contribute to the modernization and continuous development of our software architecture
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Software Architects, Test Engineers and other stakeholders, share knowledge and support the development of colleagues.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• Relevant degree (Bachelor or Master)
• Several years of professional experience in backend software development, including designing and implementing APIs and backend services
• Strong skills in C# and .NET or comparable backend technologies
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and a solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD and modern software development practices
• An understanding of software security, maintainability and operational reliability
• The ability to analyze complex problems and turn them into clear, sustainable solutions
• A proactive and collaborative working style with strong communication skills, including professional written and spoken English
