Job summary

Suomen Palloliitto ry is seeking a Nappulavastaava to lead the development and management of junior age groups, including Minit and 5v5 youth categories. The role combines development leadership with coaching support, program creation, recruitment, and partnerships with kindergartens and schools to ensure every child has an engaging first touch with football.

  • Fluency in Finnish is required.

  • Experience working with children is essential.
  • A clean criminal record suitable for work with children is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee junior player development across start-up age groups and ensure a safe, inspiring environment.
  • Mentor coaches, monitor training, and align practices with the club's coaching philosophy.
  • Coordinate recruitment and expand collaborations with kindergartens and schools, attend events and represent the club.
  • Contribute to Strategy 2026-2030 and take on related duties.

Job description

The Nappulavastaava leads the development and management of the junior age groups (including Minit program and 5v5 age groups) at Valtti 1946. This role is not just coaching; it is a development and leadership position that includes supporting coaches, developing programs, recruiting players, and building partnerships with kindergartens and schools to ensure every child has an engaging first touch with football.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee player development across the start-up age groups, maintain a high-quality, safe, and inspiring environment, and ensure smooth transitions between age groups.
  • Guide and mentor coaches, monitor training sessions, and ensure alignment with Valtti 1946's coaching philosophy across all initiating age groups.
  • Coordinate recruitment of new players, expand collaborations with local kindergartens and schools, participate in recruitment events, tournaments, and club events, and represent the club at various functions.
  • Participate in strategic development as part of Strategy 2026-2030, and take on other related duties.
Requirements
  • Fluency in Finnish.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with children.
  • A clean criminal record suitable for work with children.
