Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Junior Structural Analyst to join the Structural Analysis team in Vaasa, Finland or Trieste, Italy. The role focuses on FEM analyses and structural calculations to support product development and technology advances.

You will work with a seasoned team, receive feedback, and gradually take on more challenging analyses while expanding your expertise in different components and simulation methods.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Mechanics, or related field.
• Solid foundation in mechanics and FEM.
• Practical experience with FEM through studies, projects, internships, or work.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate FEM analyses to support product and technology development.
• Prepare technical reports and collaborate with designers and other specialists to turn analysis results into engineering decisions.
• Join an experienced team with regular feedback and support, learning from specialists.
• Start with defined calculation assignments and progressively take on more complex analyses as skills grow.
• Contribute to simulation method development and new ways of working.
