Job summary

Fortum is seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our investment project team supporting the development of a planned battery materials recycling facility in Harjavalta, Finland. The role focuses on design, procurement and implementation, with the primary location in Harjavalta and optional work from Espoo; willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required.

We value a degree in chemical/process engineering or hydrometallurgy, plus experience in process design.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Hydrometallurgy, or another relevant technical field.
• Experience in process design and development within hydrometallurgical operations or the chemical process industry.
• Ability to evaluate process solutions and participate in the technical specification and procurement of process equipment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an international project environment.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
