The Mission of the Internal Communications Manager

An integral part of the marketing function at ICEYE, you will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive, coherent and decisive internal communications strategy.

ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.

As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural‑catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil‑spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.

Expected Outcomes & Requirements
  • Drive internal clarity and engagement: Helping to frame and form internal news, and improve sentiment towards news from the company
  • Create and develop engaging content: Plan and update the internal communications calendar with a strong pipeline of engaging content, including strong liaison with senior‑level internal stakeholders. Create, produce, and publish internal communications materials, including articles, blog posts, podcasts, and videos for internal news, announcements, updates, and events.
  • Manage and develop internal communications channels: Oversee, develop, and optimize ICEYE’s internal communications channels to ensure effective information delivery and employee engagement.
  • Lead internal events owned by communications: Plan and host ICEYE’s internal company all‑hands, company town‑halls and strategy update events.
  • In close collaboration with other internal stakeholders, support the creation of ICEYE’s internal communications messaging, materials, and events.
  • Contribute to external communications: Support external communications activities by preparing materials, responding to media inquiries, and collaborating with our external PR agencies and partners to maximize ICEYE media coverage and visibility.
Requirements

Role‑specific Competences

  • BA/BSc or MSc in communications, journalism, public relations or other relevant qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in communications
  • Significant experience working within an international business
