Job summary

KONE is seeking a Project Installation Lead in Finland to supervise elevator and building systems installations, coordinate teams, and ensure on-time project delivery within budget and company standards.

You will plan resources, review technical docs, and collaborate with customers and contractors, while upholding safety, quality, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Experience in elevator/escalator installation, construction, building automation, HVAC, or related technical industry.
  • Experience supervising on-site technical installation teams.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and installation processes.
  • Customer-focused mindset with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate installation activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safety targets are achieved.
  • Lead installation teams on designated projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget completions.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor installation activities, manpower, equipment, and material needs.
  • Review project documentation and installation plans for successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available per schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks for regulatory compliance.
  • Support budget management by controlling installation costs and resource use.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, and standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams, promoting safety and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction.

What You'll Do:
  • Supervise and coordinate elevator, escalator, or building systems installation activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safety targets are achieved.

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor installation activities, manpower allocation, equipment, and material requirements throughout project execution.
  • Review project documentation, technical specifications, and installation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
  • Monitor installation progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and delivered according to project schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Support budget management by controlling installation costs, monitoring resource utilization, and contributing to project forecasting activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, safety regulations, installation processes, and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a minimum must-have qualification.
  • Experience in elevator/escalator installation, construction, building automation, HVAC, or a related technical industry.
