Fiskars Group in Finland seeks an Industrial Designer to join our R&D team. Based in Espoo or Billnäs, this full‑time hybrid role focuses on transforming insights into meaningful design, crafting visual concepts, and delivering products with functionality, aesthetics and sustainability.

You will collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering and product management, build prototypes, and tell compelling visual stories that align with our Product DNA and brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in industrial design and consumer product development.
• Strong visualization skills and refined sense of form.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and prototyping methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Generate innovative product concepts based on user insights and design research.
• Create functional and presentation-quality prototypes (analog and digital).
• Compose compelling visual stories to communicate design proposals.

Industrial Designer – R&D

We are looking for a passionate Industrial Designer to join our innovative R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and curious individual with a few years of experience - to help shape the future of design at Fiskars.

In this role, you will transform insights into meaningful product solutions, create compelling visual concepts, and contribute to the development of products that combine functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and bring fresh perspectives to our design process.

This position is based either in Espoo or Billnäs factory, Finland, and reports to our Manager Industrial Design, R&D. The role is full-time and hybrid.

Responsibilities

Experience

• Curious, creative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and methods.
• Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
