Job summary

ClaimsPro LP is seeking a Liability Adjuster to join our growing team in a Hybrid environment supporting field requests in the Markham area. You will actively adjust claims while maximizing business development opportunities, with a focus on liability including General Liability, Auto Bodily Injury and Personal Lines liability.

The role requires strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, with 5+ years of claims adjusting experience and an active Ontario license.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
• Ontario licensing is required and multijurisdictional licensing would be considered an asset.
• Adjuster’s license, CIP designation or in progress is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prompt contact and follow up with policyholders and claimants.
• Investigate the cause and report to clients with timely and solid recommendations.
• Identify exposures, recommend reserves and pursue investigations as needed.
• Provide high level customer service to clients and the insured throughout the claims process.
• Participate in after-hours customer service requirements when required.
• Follow established work standards, policies and procedures.
