Job summary

Nordic Grid Oy looks for experienced HV Transmission Line Workers / Power Line Installers for on-site projects across Finland and the Nordic region. The role covers assembly and erection of towers, stringing conductors, grounding and related grid works, with emphasis on safety at height.

The position is full-time and on-site, with locations varying by project and possible assignments elsewhere in the Nordic region. English communication is required, and a driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in HV transmission line construction or power line installation.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Willingness to travel and work at different project locations.
• Valid driving licence preferred.
• Occupational safety and working‑at‑height certificates are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and erection of transmission towers and poles.
• Installation and stringing of conductors, earth wires and OPGW.
• Tensioning and sagging works.
• Installation of insulators, fittings and line hardware.
• Grounding and related grid infrastructure works.
• Working at height and using lifting/access equipment.
• Reading technical drawings and following procedures.
• Cooperation with supervisors, installation teams and other contractors on site.

Role Description

Nordic Grid Oy is looking for experienced HV Transmission Line Workers / Power Line Installers for upcoming projects in Finland and across the Nordic region.

The work may include:

• Assembly and erection of transmission towers and poles
• Installation and stringing of conductors, earth wires and OPGW
• Tensioning and sagging works
• Installation of insulators, fittings and line hardware
• Grounding and related grid infrastructure works
• Working at height and using appropriate lifting and access equipment
• Reading technical drawings and following installation procedures
• Performing works in accordance with project HSE and quality requirements
• Cooperation with supervisors, installation teams and other contractors on site

This is an on-site, full-time position. Project locations may vary across Finland, with opportunities for assignments elsewhere in the Nordic region.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HV transmission line construction or power line installation
• Experience with 110-400 kV transmission line projects is highly valued
• Experience in tower assembly, conductor stringing, OPGW and related installation works
• Ability and willingness to work safely at height
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and installation instructions
• Good understanding of construction‑site safety procedures
• Relevant occupational safety and working‑at‑height certificates are an advantage
• Valid driving licence is preferred
• Ability to communicate in English
• Willingness to travel and work at different project locations
• Ability to work effectively as part of an international site team
