Role Overview
We are looking for a new Housekeeping Supervisor for Public Areas. As part of the Rooms Division, you will build and lead a high‑performing public‑area cleaning team to maintain the hotel’s standards and support guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Help build a new team, onboard and train public‑area cleaners; create a culture of pride and ownership of the hotel’s appearance.
- Keep public areas clean and maintained to Clarion’s premium standards.
- Coordinate task assignments and rota with the Rooms Division Manager to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Oversee chemical management and ensure the team follows Nordic Swan Ecolabel standards and safety protocols.
- Manage the stock levels for cleaning supplies and equipment, focusing on cost‑efficiency without compromising quality.
- Work closely with the Rooms Division and F&B teams to coordinate cleaning around events and high‑traffic periods.
- Respond to guest requests and address concerns promptly.
- Contribute to the team’s success in guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and financial goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in professional cleaning, preferably within a hotel or high‑end commercial environment in Finland.
- Finnish residence and work permit.
- Background in supervisory or team‑leadership roles.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
- Fluency in English required; Finnish fluency is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in digital property management systems (PMS), staff‑scheduling software, and knowledge of Finnish labour law and collective agreements is an advantage.
- A proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to work in an active role, involving bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Employment Details
Permanent position with a 90‑hour monthly commitment over 3 weeks, following MARA TES guidelines. Shifts include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
