Job summary

Norlandia Isopakari in Helsinki is seeking on‑call housekeepers to maintain clean, safe and comfortable spaces for residents and staff. The role involves basic care support, helping with meal‑related tasks, laundry for residents, and stockroom upkeep in a friendly, dog‑welcoming environment.

You will work as part of a team with clear communication, adhere to hygiene standards, and provide dependable service under the private social services collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Qualification for housekeeper or 3 years cleaning experience with kitchen tasks.
• Vaccination protection as per Infectious Diseases Act §48.
• Hygiene passport.
• Fluent Finnish (B1).
• Criminal record extract required before starting employment.
• Ability to work in an environment where dogs visit daily.

Responsibilities

• Enable clean and comfortable spaces for residents and staff, maintain cleanliness and hygiene proactively, and participate in food service tasks such as heating and preparing meals, dishwashing and kitchen cleaning.
• Laundry for residents and stockroom upkeep are also part of the job.

Job description

We are looking for on‑call housekeepers for Norlandia Isopakari in Helsinki. Norlandia Isopakari provides high‑quality residential care and support for elderly residents in Malminkartano. The Isopakari concept brings elderly people, children and dogs under one roof. The daily work centers on basic care, ensuring resident safety, wellbeing and meaningful everyday life. Work is done in teams with distributed responsibilities, and clear communication is essential. Residents are at the core of the operation, and shared outdoor moments refresh both residents and staff. Our goal is to enable everyone to have a meaningful, homely daily life and to support individual, personalised living.

Responsibilities

As a housekeeper you enable clean and comfortable spaces for residents and staff, maintain cleanliness and hygiene proactively, and participate in food service related tasks such as heating and preparing meals, dishwashing and kitchen cleaning. Laundry for residents and stockroom upkeep are also part of the job.

• a passion for cleanliness and tidiness
• qualification for a housekeeper role or 3 years of cleaning experience with experience in kitchen tasks

• the successful candidate must present a current criminal record extract before starting employment (to be shown during the probation period if working 3 months at 100% capacity)
• ability to work in an environment where dogs visit daily
