Forssan kaupunki invites applications for the Head of Municipal Engineering. The role involves guiding municipal engineering projects, overseeing the design and procurement of street construction, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to improve Forssa residents' mobility and well-being.
A suitable higher education degree and supervisory experience are required, with earthworks experience considered valuable.
The position of Head of Municipal Engineering is often one of the most challenging; you will encounter people struggling in the snow who must be managed safely. Unsolicited complaints are guaranteed, and every street user can be a keen-eyed social media expert.

Experience in the design and construction of earthworks projects would be a valuable addition. The Head of Municipal Engineering is required to have a suitable UAS degree or a previous degree as an engineer or technician/construction foreman, as well as good experience in the industry. Supervisory experience, readiness for the design/procurement of design for street construction projects, knowledge of industry information systems, and experience in construction are considered advantages. Additionally, excellent interaction skills within the organization and in customer contacts are expected.
