Job summary

Northern Lights Village Ivalo is seeking a Guest Host for the winter season. The role spans reception, restaurant service, and housekeeping to ensure a seamless guest experience.

You’ll be the friendly face welcoming guests, assisting with inquiries, and coordinating their stay in a small, close-knit resort setting. Requirements include at least one year in hospitality tasks, fluent English, strong customer service, teamwork, and knowledge of booking systems (Mews).

Job description

We are looking for an energetic, service-minded Guest Host to join our team for the coming winter season. Ivalo is our newest resort, set right beside a working husky farm in the far north of Finnish Lapland. Northern Lights Village Ivalo is a small resort, so the role covers many different tasks. You will work across reception, restaurant service, and housekeeping, and look after our guests throughout their stay.

THE ROLE

• Welcome guests, handle check-in and check-out, and answer questions
• Serve in the restaurant
• Clean guest rooms and common areas to the resort’s standard
• Support guests with their bookings and daily needs during their stay

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• At least one year’s experience in reception, restaurant, and cleaning work
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once
• Knowledge of hotel booking systems
• A professional and friendly manner
• A valid category B driving licence
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS

PAY, DURATION AND BENEFITS

• Season: November to March
• Working hours: 112,5 h per three-week period
• Monthly salary of 2291 – 2469 €, by experience and skill + collective agreement supplements
• Shared-room accommodation arranged by the company if needed, at 300 €/month

• Työaika: 112,5h/3vko
• Palkka: 2 291 – 2 469 €/kk kokemuksen ja osaamisen mukaan + mara tes mukaiset lisät
• Tarvittaessa yrityksen järjestämä jaettu majoitus 300 €/kk
