Job summary

Neste, the world-leading producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, is seeking a Manager, Waste and Renewable Feedstocks Compliance.

Based in Espoo, Finland or Hoofddorp, Netherlands, you will be the global SME for waste management and circular economy across Neste's value chains, ensuring regulatory standards and collaborating with operations, sourcing, logistics, and public affairs.

Fluency in English required; Finnish or Dutch is a plus; 8+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in waste management and circular economy.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field; waste management/environmental sciences preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of waste management and circular economy in large organizations.
• Strong knowledge of EU Waste Framework Directive, end-of-waste criteria, Waste Shipment Regulation, Circular Economy Act.
• Understanding of Animal By-Products Regulation, REACH and Renewable Energy Directive.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in an international matrix organization.
• Results-oriented with accuracy, ownership and resilience.
• English fluency; Finnish or Dutch language is advantageous.
• Understanding of renewable fuels industry and feedstock value chains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as Neste’s global SME for waste, circular economy, and RP feedstock compliance.
• Monitor EU waste and circular economy legislation to keep Neste compliant.
• Develop and implement global processes, standards, and guidelines.
• Coordinate with advocacy groups and support Public Affairs in EU and national debates.
• Provide expert regulatory support in EU/national discussions.
• Oversee training and auditing of feedstock shipments from producers to refineries.
• Support RP Feedstock Sourcing & Trading on regulatory matters.
• Assist sites and stakeholders in meeting waste and circular economy requirements.
• Collaborate across functions to identify risks and improve compliance.
