Job summary

Metso is seeking a Project Engineer, Equipment Package in Espoo to join the Smelting Delivery Project Management team. You will act as the equipment package engineer in plant or equipment delivery projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

The role reports to Manager, Project Engineers, and offers hybrid working arrangements with Espoo as preferred location. You will coordinate technical purchasing, manufacturing, and supplier interactions throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor (B.Sc.) or Master (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or similar.
• Experience in engineering is a benefit.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate assertively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP ERP and Enovia are assets.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Finnish an asset.
• Proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment package engineering, purchasing and manufacturing per main project plan to meet financial, schedule and quality objectives.
• Write technical specifications for equipment.
• Interface between equipment manufacturer and project team.
• Plan expediting and inspections; prepare information for forwarding.
• Coordinate supplier document reviews and acceptance.
• Report monthly on equipment package status to stakeholders.
• Support sitework and assist in supervision and commissioning when needed.
