Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is seeking a Package Engineer to oversee the technical and project lifecycle of specialized equipment packages, acting as the link between the client and suppliers to ensure all technical requirements are met.

The role includes defining technical requirements, managing schedules and budgets, coordinating supplier evaluations, handling document flow, reviews, inspections and on-site delivery support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• Wamiliarity with project lifecycle concepts and supplier coordination.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements for equipment packages.
• Schedule and budget management for packages.
• Update delivery structure in PDM after freezing points.
• Participate in supplier selection, including technical evaluations and negotiations.
• Manage document flow to/from suppliers and review supplier documentation.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure equipment meets quality requirements.
• Receive goods and support logistics to site.

About the role

As a Package Engineer, you will oversee the technical and project lifecycle of specialized equipment packages. You will serve as the vital link between our client company and their suppliers, ensuring that all technical requirements are met within a dynamic, project-driven team.

Work tasks

• Define technical requirements for the assigned equipment packages
• Schedule and budget of assigned equipment packages
• Update delivery structure in PDM after defined freezing points
• Participate in supplier selection process, e.g. technical evaluation, negotiations
• Manage document flow to/from supplier
• Review supplier documentation and plans
• Manage inspections
• Ensure delivered equipment meets the quality requirements
• Receive goods
• Supports logistics to get equipment delivered to site
• Manage and participate in Inspections on site

We are looking for

• Relevant (technical) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Good technical compentence to understand and learn about components used in our client’s projects
• Basic understanding of project life cycle management
• Fluent skills in English
• Ability to travel occasionally

It is considered as an advantage if you have previously worked as Package Engineer, Project Manager or similar.
