Job summary

Framery, headquartered in Tampere, Finland, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our R&D team. You will integrate into early product development and optimize packaging across our portfolio, collaborating with R&D engineers, supply chain, and cross-functional partners to drive efficiency, sustainability, and flawless installation of our soundproof pods worldwide.

You will be based at our Tampere HQ with active weekly onsite presence (min. 60%), and some international travel.

Qualifications

Experience in packaging engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Understanding of end-to-end supply chain material flows and packaging.
Proficiency in packaging design software and 3D CAD modeling tools.
Knowledge of packaging materials such as cardboard, wood and cushioning materials.

Responsibilities

Early R&D integration to design product packages and crates from concept to launch.
Audit and redesign current packaging to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
End-to-end packaging across all material flows, including sub-packaging and inbound packaging.
Support global supply chain alignment and localized packaging strategies.
Design robust crate structures for multi-modal transit and establish testing protocols.
