Job summary

atNorth is seeking a Senior People & Culture Manager to lead our international People Operations team across the Nordics, with a strong Finland focus, ideally based in Espoo. You will shape people processes, payroll governance, data integrity and compliance to enable scalable growth.

You will own operational delivery across countries, build clear workflows, and partner with Finance, Legal and IT to deliver a world-class employee experience. Travel across markets is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in People Operations or HR operations in international organisations.
• 5+ years of proven people leadership in distributed teams.
• Experience building employee lifecycle processes across multiple countries.
• Knowledge of payroll governance, benefits, pensions, and insurance.
• Experience with HR systems (Flex/HiBob) and data workflows.
• Experience using AI as an enabler.
• Strong stakeholder management across People & Culture, Finance, Compliance, Security, IT.
• Fluency in Finnish or Icelandic and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead an international People Operations team.
• Own employee lifecycle operations across hires, onboarding, employment changes, leave, mobility, offboarding and documentation.
• Oversee payroll governance across markets and coordinate with local payroll owners.
• Manage administration of benefits, pensions, and insurance across markets.
• Design and improve workflows, documentation and self-service.
• Strengthen master data quality and HR systems across markets.
• Own policy governance and compliance
• Manage risks and controls; prepare for audits.
• Oversee expense-related processes and admin.
• Collaborate with People Partners, Reward, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, Security and IT.
