Job summary

Orion Oyj is seeking a forecasting and analytics professional to own pipeline forecasts and develop epidemiology-driven models in Espoo. You will partner with Commercial Pipeline Team, Market Access, Medical Affairs and others to align assumptions and deliverables.

Required are a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business/Sciences/Finance and 3–5 years in pharma forecasting, analytics or finance, with strong Excel and data-analysis skills. The role is hybrid in Espoo.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sciences or Finance.
  • 3–5 years of forecasting, analytics, strategic planning and/or finance in pharma/biotech.
  • Demonstrated forecasting experience and proficiency in data-driven decision making.
  • Strong understanding of pharma product development and payer dynamics.
  • Ability to triangulate data to generate insights for market opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and ongoing ownership of pipeline and business development forecasts.
  • Builds and refines epidemiology-driven patient flow models and treatment algorithms.
  • Designs scenario analyses to inform forecast sensitivities.
  • Ensures incorporation of forecast assumptions into regional planning processes.
  • Tracks key market and organizational performance indicators.
  • Triangulates forecast assumptions with secondary data and market research to generate insights.

  • Builds and refines epidemiology-driven patient flow modelsandtreatment algorithms
  • Designsscenario analyses (e.g., base/upside/downside, competitive entry, pricing & access)to inform forecastsensitivities
  • Ensuresincorporationof forecast assumptions and outputsinto regional planning processes (go-to-market planning, portfolio reviews, strategic planning, budget updates)
  • Tracks key market and organizational performance indicators
  • Triangulatesforecast assumptions and outputs withsecondary data, real-worldevidenceand primary market research to generate insights aroundmarket opportunity, unmet need, and competitive dynamics
  • Partnersdirectlywith CommercialPipeline Team,Market Access,MedicalAffairs, ClinicalDevelopment,and Patient Advocacyto align assumptions andorganizational deliverables
  • Supportsalignment ofkey assumptions and forecasting forBusiness Development team
  • Supports and createsexecutive-levelreports(e.g.governance reviews, investment cases, Business Developmentevaluations)

Key Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’sorMaster’sdegree inBusiness, Sciences orFinance
  • Minimum of3-5 yearsofexperiencein pharmaceutical/biotechForecasting,Analytics, StrategicPlanningand/or Finance
  • Demonstratedforecastingexperience
  • Proficient in Exceland otherdata analysis tools
  • Highly motivated, thought partnership & entrepreneurialmindset
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Pharmaceutical productdevelopment processes
  • US & Europeanmarket& payerdynamics
  • Epidemiologyand patienttreatment algorithms
  • Analysisand triangulation of data togenerateinsights
Preferred
  • Working familiaritywithsecondarydataresources (e.g., IQVIA,Komodo,GlobalData,Citeline,patient registries,Clarivate, Oracle,ONCrg,Biomedtracker,OncologyPipeline, Beacon)
  • Oncology experience
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence toolsfor forecastingand/or market analysis
  • Business Development forecasting experience
  • Market Research experience
  • Strong communicator with intellectual curiosity and strategic mindset
