Job summary

ICEYE is seeking an External Communications Specialist to lead external communications across corporate news, business lines, and country teams from Espoo. The role sits in a global communications function and collaborates with the Corporate Leadership Team to shape messaging and media engagement.

You will craft press releases, brief spokespeople, manage the newsroom and coordinate with agencies, ensuring timely, accurate communications across markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PR or communications, at an agency or in-house at an international company.
• A record of national and international coverage.
• Strong writing and editing skills with clean, accurate copy produced at speed.
• Rigorous attention to detail; facts, figures and names are right every time.
• Experience preparing and advising senior spokespeople.
• Experience coordinating agencies and stakeholders across functions and countries.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver external communications for corporate news, business lines, and country teams.
• Run media relations day to day: pitch stories and handle inbound requests with journalists.
• Prepare and brief spokespeople, including members of the CLT.
• Write and edit press releases, statements, articles, Q&A, and briefing notes.
• Manage ICEYE’s newsroom, website, and owned channels.
• Direct ICEYE’s global PR agencies: set the brief, review output, manage deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to contribute to breaking news and respond quickly when appropriate.
• Propose new story ideas, formats and channels.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Social, Internal Communications, Legal and Product teams.
