Job summary

Verda is seeking a Legal Counsel, Employment to lead employment, labour, and health and safety matters across its global data centre operations. You’ll work with People, Operations, Site Delivery, and Compliance to provide pragmatic guidance as Verda scales internationally.

This is a hands-on, scale-up role requiring collaboration across jurisdictions, drafting employment contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting workforce models for new sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of employment and labour law experience.
• Experience with occupational health and safety law.
• Experience advising across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., Finland, UK, US, Germany).
• Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal guidance in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary legal advisor on employment and labour law across Verda jurisdictions.
• Advise on health and safety obligations for data centre sites and construction phases.
• Draft and negotiate employment, contractor, and site-related agreements.
• Support workforce structuring for new sites and cross-border mobility.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate with external counsel and monitor regulatory developments.
