Job summary

Nordea seeks a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with deep Google Cloud experience to own and evolve the Google Cloud Landing Zone. This hands‑on role builds new capabilities while keeping the existing platform healthy, secure and reliable for banking workloads.

You’ll design and run CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, manage configuration with Ansible, and write automation in Python and Bash. You’ll help apply zero trust and strong governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud engineering with Google Cloud at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and running a Google Cloud Landing Zone, ideally with Terraform-based foundations.
• Strong command of Terraform and Ansible for IaC and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash; experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Google Cloud networking (VPC/Shared VPC, Interconnect) and zero trust access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Landing Zone infrastructure as code.
• Create reusable Landing Zone solutions to reduce duplication.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines for platform changes.
• Maintain day‑to‑day engineering: PRs and architecture docs.
• Close automation gaps to avoid manual work.
• Design networking: VPCs, Shared VPC, subnets, firewall rules.
• Provide hybrid connectivity with Interconnect and Cloud VPN.
• Apply zero-trust principles to access and IAM.
• Establish governance using policy and Terraform blueprints.
