Neste is seeking a Functional Safety Specialist to lead the automation design team in Kilpilahti, Porvoo. You will guide across engineering disciplines from initial studies to commissioning, mentoring colleagues and driving safety lifecycle best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in process automation engineering.
• M.Sc./B.Sc. in automation engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of SIS automation systems and functional design.
• Experience with functional safety life cycle engineering and standards.
• Functional Safety certification.
• Self-initiative and problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk analysis, SRS and SIL determinations.
• Perform SIL verification.
• Design Functional Safety/SIF systems.
• Conduct Functional Safety assessments.
• Develop functional safety procedures and specifications.
• Validate OT cybersecurity in projects.

As our Functional Safety Specialist, you will have a key role in automation engineering. You'll leverage your expertise to guide and mentor the automation design team, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and across various engineering disciplines, from initial studies and basic engineering to detailed design, implementation, and commissioning. The position will be located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo. We provide a free commuter bus service from Helsinki and nearby regions to Kilpilahti. Partial remote work or working at our remote working office in Espoo are also possible.
