Job summary

Siili Solutions in Helsinki seeks an experienced Forward Deployed Data & Integration Engineer to connect AI and enterprise data, build data platforms, and deliver production-grade integrations for strategic customers.

You will work closely with 1–2 accounts, design pipelines, implement APIs and event streams, and blend hands-on engineering with architectural thinking to turn prototypes into reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering, data engineering, or similar role delivering enterprise solutions.
• Strong experience with modern data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake) including data modeling and governance.
• Experience designing and building enterprise integrations using APIs, event streams, middleware and integration platforms (Azure IE Services, Boomi).
• Hands-on exposure to AI/agentic solutions and how they rely on enterprise data, integrations and infra.
• Strong client-facing and consulting skills; able to take ownership in complex environments.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English; Nordic language is a plus.

What will you do as a Forward Deployed Data & Integration Engineer at Siili?

As a Forward Deployed Data & Integration Engineer, you work at the intersection of modern data platforms, enterprise integrations, cloud environments, and AI delivery. Your mission is to help customers move AI and agentic solutions beyond pilots by connecting them to the data, systems, and platforms they need to create measurable business value in production.

You will work closely with 1–2 strategic customer accounts at a time, taking a hands‑on role in designing and building the data platforms and integrations that AI solutions depend on. You’ll connect AI and agentic workflows with enterprise data, source systems, and downstream applications through APIs, data pipelines, event streams, middleware, and modern integration services.

This is not an architecture-only role. You combine hands‑on engineering with architecture and design, working in complex customer environments to modernize data platforms and integrations and turn prototypes into secure, governed, monitored, and reliable production services.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced data platform and integration engineering professional who combines strong hands‑on technical expertise with architecture capabilities, customer‑facing skills, and experience enabling modern AI solutions.

We hope you recognize yourself in most of these:

• 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering, data engineering, systems integration, or a similar technical role, with a track record of delivering enterprise solutions into production.
• Strong experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent, including data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and access and governance controls.
• Experience designing and building enterprise integrations using APIs, event streams, middleware, and integration platforms such as Azure Integration Services, Boomi, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Azure or AWS.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI or agentic solutions, with an understanding of how they consume and depend on enterprise data, integrations, and platform infrastructure. You don’t need to be an LLM engineer, but you understand what it takes to enable AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Ability to combine hands‑on implementation with architecture and design, taking solutions from prototype to reliable, production‑ready services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise requirements, including data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
• Strong client‑facing and consulting skills, with the ability to take ownership, navigate complex and evolving customer environments, and turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English. Finnish or another Nordic language is considered an advantage.
