Job summary

Eaton is expanding its Vantaa, Finland campus and seeks a firmware test engineer to join the Critical Power Solutions team. You will develop automated tests for UPS/CPS, participate in test planning, and help ensure product quality across firmware, systems and hardware domains.

The role emphasizes embedded software testing, scripting in Python, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing environment near Helsinki airport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 0-3 years in software development, software testing, embedded systems, or related area.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated firmware tests for UPS and CPS product lines.
• Support firmware test planning and create structured test cases for product features.
• Implement test solutions to verify system and product requirements based on test strategies.
• Execute firmware testing activities and provide input to design reviews throughout development.
• Support automated tests within CI/CD environments.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and assist in root cause investigations with engineers.
• Document test procedures, results, and releases per quality processes.
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, and hardware teams to improve quality and test coverage.
• Learn and apply modern embedded software testing tools and practices.
