Job summary

Wärtsilä Energy Storage seeks an experienced Financial Controller to join the global Energy Storage Business. You will manage local financial information, ensure a true and fair view of risks and financial position, and support external statutory reporting in a newly carved-out entity.

The role focuses on local accounting, tax compliance, DoA governance, and coordinating with regional teams to optimize financial processes and controls in a lean startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise on Financial Statutory Accounting.
• Wartsila accounting and IFRS knowledge (both international and local).
• Local accounting & tax laws and principles.
• Auditing (external and internal) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring correctness of company financial information and reporting.
• Preparing and reporting quarterly financial figures and tax notes.
• Co-ordinating external and internal auditing and internal control reporting.
• Supporting development and optimization of projects requiring financial input.
• Advising the businesses on financial processes related to statutory, tax and compliance.
• Maintaining local DoA documentation and power of attorney arrangements.
• Reporting financial statistics to local authorities.
• Managing cross-country regional accounting coordination.
