Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, diagnose, repair and commission our power generation equipment at customer sites across Finland and the Nordic region.

The role is highly field-based, with most time spent at customer locations. You will travel regularly, work independently, and engage with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. English is the working language, Finnish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, automation, or related discipline.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems.

• Strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.

Field Service Technician - Finland

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and commissioning of Aggreko's power generation equipment at customer sites throughout Finland and, when required, elsewhere in the Nordic region.

This role is primarily field-based, with most working hours spent at customer locations. You will act as an Aggreko representative on-site, ensuring reliable equipment performance, high safety standards, and excellent customer service.

To succeed in this role, you should enjoy working independently, be willing to travel extensively, and be able to respond to customer needs in a variety of operating environments, such as industrial facilities, construction sites, the energy sector, infrastructure projects, data centers, and other critical operating environments.

Although English is Aggreko's primary working language, Finnish language skills are considered a significant advantage and help build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and site personnel in Finland.

What You'll Be Doing

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair generators, power distribution equipment, and related systems at customer sites across Finland.
• Install, commission, test, and decommission equipment to ensure reliable performance.
• Act as the face of Aggreko on-site, delivering outstanding technical support and customer service.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert advice to help improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Work safely at all times, following Aggreko's industry-leading health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and help minimise downtime through effective fault finding and problem solving.

Travel & Working Style

This is a highly autonomous, field-based role where no two days are the same. You'll spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with:

• Regular travel throughout Finland
• Frequent overnight stays
• Participation in an on-call rota
• Occasional travel across the Nordic region
• Exposure to a wide range of environments, including industrial facilities, construction sites, energy projects, data centres, and critical infrastructure

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, travel, and the variety that comes with working in the field.

What We're Looking For:

Essential

• Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, automation, or a related discipline
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems

Kenttähuoltoteknikkona vastaat Aggrekon sähköntuotantolaitteiden asennuksesta, huollosta, vikadiagnostiikasta, korjauksista ja käyttöönotosta asiakkaiden toimipaikoissa ympäri Suomea sekä tarvittaessa muualla Pohjoismaissa.

Tehtävä on ensisijaisesti kenttätyötä, ja suurin osa työajasta vietetään asiakkaiden kohteissa. Toimit Aggrekon edustajana asiakkaiden luona varmistaen laitteiden luotettavan toiminnan, korkean turvallisuustason sekä erinomaisen asiakaspalvelun.

Mitä tulet tekemään?

• Huollat, ylläpidät, vianetsit ja korjaat generaattoreita, sähkönjakelulaitteita ja niihin liittyviä järjestelmiä asiakkaiden kohteissa ympäri Suomea.
• Asennat, käyttöönotat, testaat ja poistat käytöstä laitteita varmistaen niiden luotettavan toiminnan.
• Toimit Aggrekon edustajana asiakkaiden luona tarjoten korkeatasoista teknistä tukea ja asiakaspalvelua.
• Rakennat vahvoja asiakassuhteita ja annat asiantuntevaa neuvontaa laitteiden suorituskyvyn ja luotettavuuden kehittämiseksi.
• Työskentelet turvallisesti noudattaen Aggrekon korkeita turvallisuus-, terveys- ja ympäristöstandardeja.
• Laadit huoltoraportteja ja ylläpidät tarkkaa dokumentaatiota tehdyistä huolto- ja korjaustoimenpiteistä.
• Tuet ennakoivaa kunnossapitoa ja autat minimoimaan käyttökatkokset tehokkaan vianetsinnän ja ongelmanratkaisun avulla.

Matkustaminen ja työskentelytapa

Tämä on itsenäinen ja liikkuva kenttärooli, jossa yksikään päivä ei ole samanlainen. Työskentelet pääasiassa asiakkaiden kohteissa, ja tehtävään kuuluu:

• Säännöllinen matkustaminen ympäri Suomea
• Toistuvat yöpymiset kodin ulkopuolella
• Päivystysvuoroihin osallistuminen
• Satunnaiset työmatkat muihin Pohjoismaihin
• Työskentely monipuolisissa ympäristöissä, kuten teollisuuslaitoksissa, rakennustyömailla, energiahankkeissa, datakeskuksissa ja kriittisen infrastruktuurin kohteissa
