Job summary

GE HealthCare in Finland seeks a Field Engineer to provide installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mammography and Interventional Imaging systems. The role is customer-facing with extensive travel and requires independent work in hospital environments.

The successful candidate will work with radiology staff, IT teams, and service peers to ensure high system availability and compliant operation across sites in Finland.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical education in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, IT, or equivalent.
• Previous experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Strong knowledge of X-ray technology and imaging systems.
• Experience with Mammography, C-arms, radiography, fluoroscopy, or related imaging modalities is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and DICOM environments.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and service manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Fluent Finnish and good English communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Finland.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Mammography and C-arm systems.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
• Execute system installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and radiation safety requirements.
• Support customers in minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing system performance.
• Work closely with clinical users, hospital IT departments, applications specialists, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and service reports.
• Participate in on-call and emergency support activities as required.
