Job summary

NestAI Oy is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work embedded with customers, translating operational needs into robust AI solutions. You will iterate from prototype to fielded capability, handling real‑world data under deployment pressure and maintaining hands‑on coding across ML, NLP, and signal processing.

Qualifications

• We do not require deep expertise in both AI and signal processing; a strong discipline in one plus willingness to grow in the other.
• Solid knowledge of signal processing or classical DSP and curiosity about modern learned approaches.
• Strong working knowledge of ML theory and DL architectures; ability to pick up subfields as deployments require.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into concrete technical problems.
• Design and implement algorithms for sequential decision-making and autonomous behavior using ML, LLMs, control, or signal processing as needed.
• Fine-tune models to perform reliably on real operational data and adapt deployments on-site.
• Rapid prototyping in field environments and hardening successful prototypes for production.
• Coordinate with NestOS platform, embedded, and perception teams to bring learnings back for long-term support.
• Build lightweight simulations and data pipelines on-site to validate algorithms under deployment pressure.
