Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a FACTS R&D & Technology Development Leader to own the full technology lifecycle for STATCOM and FSC solutions, from initial concept through industrialized products.

You will drive the technical strategy, coordinate with market-facing roles, and lead a global engineering team to deliver robust, manufacturable power electronics and control systems for grid stability and renewable integration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; Master/PhD preferred in Power Electronics, Power Systems or Controls.
• Experience: Hands-on leadership in power electronics converter design and/or controls for FACTS or grid-scale tech; developing technology from concept to product.

Responsibilities

• Own the Full Technology Development Lifecycle for STATCOM and FSC — from concept to industrialized solutions.
• Lead technical strategy and roadmap for power electronics and controls development.
• Drive R&D programs from concept through to commercial product with focus on performance and reliability.
• Translate market needs into robust architectures and scalable product platforms.
• Industrialize innovation with DfM and cost-out principles from early design stages.
• Define modular building blocks of FACTS technology portfolio for agility and competitiveness.
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization across roles.
