Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an onsite Facilities Manager for a client Data Centre in Helsinki.

You will lead the FM team, supervise contractors and ensure delivery of hard and soft services, and uphold data center infrastructure standards. You will manage a team of Facility Coordinators, Vendors and Maintenance Technicians, drive continuous improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies within the Helsinki region.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in building maintenance/facility management and leading a hard services account is essential.
• Certification in facility management is desirable but not mandatory if proven through experience.
• Experience in selecting, onboarding, and leading your own employees both professionally and disciplinary.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Facility Coordinators, Vendors and Maintenance Technicians responsible for delivering hard and soft services and maintaining data center infrastructure.
• Oversee repair and maintenance work across assigned data centers using internal and external technicians and service providers.
• Ensure smooth service operations and facility management at selected data centers and maintain relationships with clients.
• Manage the annual budget and coordinate with the client on investment projects.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Identify operational modernizations and efficiency improvements in facility management at the sites.

The Role

We now have an opportunity for an onsite Facilities Manager at a client Data Centre. Working within the on-site CBRE team, the role offers development potential for any candidate wanting to work on the leading edge of the growing Data Centre industry. The Facilities Manager will report to the designated account management team member. They will lead the FM requirements and team to agreed scope and will arrange and supervise Services Contractors as required.

Working Week: 37,5Hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

In this role, you will contribute to day-to-day operations and service delivery within your assigned area or site.

Responsibilities include:

As a Facility Manager for the Helsinki region, you will lead a team of Facility Coordinators, Vendors and Maintenance technicians responsible for delivering and overseeing hard and soft services, workplace experience and maintaining data centers building infrastructure.

• 3 or more years data centre facility experience
• 5 years technical building and critical infrastructure maintenance experience
• Construction and engineering project management know how and experience
• Workplace experience (hospitality, events and catering) leadership, service design and innovation experience
• Disciplinary leadership and development of your subordinate employees (spread across the sites), including conducting regular performance reviews, as well as hiring and onboarding new employees
• Comprehensive management and administration of our repair and maintenance work within the assigned data centers, utilizing both internal and external technicians and service providers in the field of building maintenance
• Ensuring smooth service operations/facility management at a selected number of assigned customer data centers; maintaining our existing customer relationships on whose behalf we manage the data centers (this also includes participation in regular client meetings)
• Management of the annual budget as well as overseeing investment projects in close consultation with the client
• Conducting regular facility inspections and quality assurance in accordance with local, state, and federal/national regulations
• Identification and initiation of operational modernizations and efficiency improvements in facility management at the sites
• Compliance with all environmental, health, and safety procedures for our facilities
• Selection and management of our external service providers, including monitoring their performance
• Conducting process and procedure training in maintenance, repairs, and best safety practices
• Representation of our CBRE values (RISE Values)
• Identifying and resolving everyday issues related to site-specific facility management

Who You Are

We believe you have:

• Relevant technical training or a bachelor's degree in business or technical fields
• Relevant professional experience in building maintenance / facility management and leading a hard services account is essential
• Certification in facility management is desirable but not mandatory if proven through experience
• Experience in selecting, onboarding, and leading your own employees both professionally and disciplinary
• Quick grasp with the ability to communicate complex topics to clients and manage performance expectations
• Comprehensive organizational skills with a strong curiosity
• Due to budget responsibility, a certain affinity for numbers is required
• Very good English language skills, both written and spoken (additional EMEA languages may be an advantage but are not necessary for this role)
