Job summary

Varjo, a world-leading provider of enterprise VR/AR solutions with offices in Helsinki, is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer for its Eye Tracking Team. You’ll work on production-grade C++ algorithms, integrate ML and data tooling, and optimize performance on constrained hardware, while collaborating across ML, data, and software domains.

You will develop and optimize C++ pipelines, leverage Python for data work, and contribute to end-to-end system improvements using real human eye data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade C++
• Experience with large C++ codebases including debugging and performance optimization
• Experience with Python for data pipelines and ML work
• Background in computer vision, ML, image processing, or sensor fusion
• Experience delivering software in a structured lifecycle with CI/QA/release processes
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to visualize results
• Fluent English communication in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the ML-driven C++ algorithm pipelines for Varjo's eye tracking with Python collaboration
• Enhance accuracy and runtime efficiency on low-power hardware
• Build KPI and testing pipelines to measure eye-tracking performance and create visualizations
• Analyze algorithm performance and run data-driven experiments for improvements
• Create and maintain data processing pipelines for eye-tracking studies
