Job summary

IQVIA Turku office is seeking a senior epidemiologist to lead real-world evidence studies, spanning early development to post-approval, focusing on safety and effectiveness across drugs, biologics and devices. You will design studies, develop protocols and SAPs, and collaborate with global teams to ensure scientific quality, regulatory alignment, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD with relevant experience in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, public health or related field.
Experience: minimum 5 years (Master's) or 2+ years (PhD).
Strong methodology in epidemiology and observational research.
Ability to design and execute studies, write protocols and reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including client interactions.
Ability to work in a global, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

Lead design and execution of epidemiology methods for RWE studies across safety and effectiveness.
Provide scientific input to research initiatives and projects.
Serve as project lead for smaller studies and assist larger client-facing projects.
Develop study protocols, SAPs, and clinical study reports.
Manage analysis deliverables and project timelines.
Review analyses and provide input into statistical plans and outputs.
Contribute to CRF/eCRF design and regulatory responses.
Engage with clients to discuss study design, results, and progress.
Identify and address project and budgetary challenges to deliver quality work.
Support business development through proposals and scientific input.
Represent IQVIA at scientific conferences and publications.
