Job summary

Orion Pharma in Turku, Finland, seeks a Senior Scientist to advance oncology drug candidates from discovery toward clinical development, focusing on PK and translational pharmacology within Translational Pharmacology. You will design and interpret nonclinical studies, contribute to dosing strategies, and prepare regulatory documents, collaborating with CROs and internal teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

PhD/PharmD/MSc in pharmacology or related field.
≥5 years biotech/pharma experience with drug discovery or development.
Hands-on experience in pharmacology, biology, translational pharmacology, nonclinical development, PK/DMPK or clinical pharmacology.
Experience designing and interpreting nonclinical studies or complex datasets supporting drug discovery or development.

Responsibilities

Provide PK and translational pharmacology expertise to R&D projects from discovery toward clinical development.
Design, monitor, interpret and report nonclinical PK and translational studies including CROs.
Analyze PK data and integrate exposure with pharmacology, safety and bioanalytical results to support project decisions.
Contribute to translational strategies, human dose projections, exposure‑response assessments and regulatory documents.
